. with diff.ip addresses but still i can't connect w/another comp.i know that each computer has its own ip address,is it possible to have 2 comp. in one cable one at a time i'm USING it, and how to configure it?thanks...deeply appriciated. What model is the Thompson Router? Are you sure that you have set it to DHCP instead of static IP?Quote from: renebhoy0210 on August 20, 2011, 04:24:33 PM

Are these settings on the router or the PCs? The PCs should not have static IPs assigned (unless you particularly need them that way). No sure what "always use the same IP address" would mean in the context of the router.hello!
yes,it's the configuration settings of thompson router(TG585 v8)
my onboard ethernet controller-advance tab-media type-value-set to auto_config.
is there any program that can fix this prob.?and windows system error-ip conflict keep on poppin'...should i disable my nav to fix these error?
thanks...... Does this error come up on just one?

Does it come up on the system if it is the only one connected to the network?

Post the desktop models/brand and operating system running. Did it work before? if they are connecting on LAN, look for TCP/IP(IPV4) on your network adapter by right-clicking device and choose Properties. Highlight TCP/IP and hit Properties. Tick on Obtain IP Address Automatically and Obtain DNS server automatically under GENERAL tab. Switch to Alternate Configuration tab and Automatic Private Address should also be in use. Click Ok.
