Solve : WINDOWS TASK MANAGER MESSAGE?

I am using WindowsXP Home Edition. When using INTERNET EXPLORER, my COMPUTER locks up. I need to use Ctrl./Alt./Del to EXIT the screen. My Windows Task Manager gives me the following report:

C:\DOCUME~1JOAN\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERb890.dir00\iexplore.exe.mdmp

ALSO following:

C:\DOCUME~1JOAN\LOCALS~1Temp\WER890.dir00\appcompat.txt

PLEASE EXPLAIN WHAT I NEED TO DO IN TERMS THAT I WILL UNDERSTAND, AS I AM A SENIOR CITIZEN COMPUTER USER.

You could try to reset Internet Explorer...

Open: control panel > NETWORK & internet connections > internet options > advanced tab

Then press the 'reset' button below.
Clean temp files.
