hello I have windows 7 HOME edition 32 bit and I really don't know what happened but my windows update will not work. I get an error code of 80245001 and I have tried a lot of option from Microsoft online but to no avail I still cannot download updates. as far as I can tell I wants to start a scan but SHUTS off and I get this error code. check update itself through command prompt and I think the proxy SERVER is gone for windows update don't know how this happened either. I have reinstalled internet explorer still nothing tried firefox still cannot update and as of now my windows update shield turned red as sometimes we all know its yellow and its time to check updates. my automatic settings are on still no updates firewall is on so I am in the air as to what to do? I have cable connection for internet so its not a connection problem called the cable company all is good.

so please anyone please help. my windows 7 os is operating just fine so I don't think I need to reinstall windows 7 also its like something is blocking windows update but all is good in the firewall
so I really need HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLP

              Start Here...You have lots of free space so that's not the reason for not updating.ms support was a no goPlease download Windows Update fix utility from here and run it. thankyou superdave for the link to the repair tool but again I have tried all and still cannot update also just noticed now I cannot update MSE and Adobe either.

ok I am going to cancel this post and I am going to ask the question of where can I get a copy of windows 7 home edition premium 32bit because I lost my install disk but I have my product key and product id key I just need a way to download windows 7 from online. I tried Microsoft for a disk but I live outside the USA and it will take way to long to get it (about 2 mths) I really need to reinstall fast as I cannot update and I am afraid of the system failures that are coming. I am not buying a new disk because I already have my info and keys I just want to reinstall

NOTE: Factory Restore wipes out everything so do tour backups 1st.
