Answer»

I'm running Windows Vista and Internet Explorer browser. My question is I have a toshiba Satellite A135-S4467 notebook and the DVD/CD-R quit reading. I get a Code 39 error saying file is corrupted. The computer is a notebook and it is only a month old. I am a newbie and I need to fix the problem soon. I am strapped for MONEY and can't take it to be fixed......need to get it working so I can sell on EBay. SOON!! The light on the DVD?CD-R FLASHES amber but it will not read the disk. Can anyone tell me how i can fix it? I DESPERATELY need it fixed soon.......need the money BAD. Please, please help me........ok we need more info

when did this happen?
what was the last thing you did before it happened?
what anti-malware protections do you have?
what was the exact error message? In the event that the drive is corrupted, your most likely option is to use your warranty to have the part replaced.

This will cost you money in shipping (Normally $6-8 US)

Have you tried putting in a DIFFERENT disk? Go to the below site scroll down to the retangular shaped box
that says'Download Guided Help'Download the 127kb file and
run it.Follow the instructions and let it do the fix for you.
