Answer» I'm running Vista on my COMPUTER and DUE to some problems I've been having, I wanted to check if all the files were in order. Accordingly, I did the Windows Vista Startup REPAIR thing off my CD's bootlist.
I get this error:
No OS Files Found on Disk
Repair action: Partition table repair
Result: Failed. Error code = ox490
Time taken = 4430 MS
Now, my Vista works. It is certainly INSTALLED. I tried running from the Vista RECOVERY section on my HD and even that gives this error. So there are OS files and they should be working.
What could be the cause of this? No one has any insight?
Could this mean that oen of the OS files is corrupted or something? It looks like bootloader is messed up. Check here: http://neosmart.net/wiki/display/EBCD/Recovering+the+Vista+Bootloader+from+the+DVD, especially step 3.
