Answer» ok I'm THINKING about getting Vista home premium. my question is should i get the upgrade or the standard?? im going to keep xp on one HHD and buy another one for vista. just so I'll be able to use xp and play my games and what not.. i get a nice discount from my work. 103 USD for the upgrade and 155 USD for the standard.
TIA unlovedwarriorI believe you need the full, i.e. "standard", version to be legit, since you're not really going to upgrade your current XP to Vista. You want to have both OS under a dual boot configuration, so you need a full version of Vista. ok thanks soybean i was just MAKING sureWhy waste your hard earned money on this Vista crap? Try LINUX, it's free, you will have fewer headache in long run. Plus there are tons of free open source programs available for download, programs like Gimp, OpenOffice... they are just as good, if not better then Photoshop and MSOffice. Plus you can make your machine dual bootable so that you can still keep your XP. There are many distros of Linux, I use Ubuntu and I am pretty happy with it. Having use it for almost a year now, never once a BSOD, missing dll... and my hair says thank you for not pulling it.
B.i already have a dual boot linux on my main machineQuote Why waste your hard earned money on this Vista crap? Try Linux What about Windows XP
