Type in wireless and hit enter.     Are you saying there is no "Wireless Network Connection" icon when you go "Start" -> "Control Panel" -> double-click "Network Connections" icon?

Is so, see Driver Installation Issues.

Or
see Troubleshooting Network Problems - Wireless pdf document produced by Lewis and Clark college.

Under item 3 of the "Check your network software settings" section:

2.  Router.
     a.  Is this a wireless HOME router?
     B.  Has anyone (another computer) been able to successfully WORK online  wirelessly thru this router?
     c.  Your wired computer connects fine to internet and stays online (no drops)?

3.  Intermittent.  In what sense...
     a.  You have to try multiple times before you can connect?
     b.  It connects on first try, but then later drops the connection?
     c.  If it drops the connection, does it drop randomly or a set amount of time after connecting?
