Solve : windows xp crashing.?

Hey,

I just bought this pc a few days ago and I had windows vista ultimate on here and it worked nice and fine no crashes no nothing

but some of my games didn't work with vista so I installed Windows XP and now I get blue screen of death every hour or so.

does anyone know how I could fix this?

I used the cd's that came with my pc for the drivers but i cant find out where to get anymore

help me please?The BSoD provides you with a STOP code and possibly the name of the file that caused the BSoD. Both would be helpful to know.
If the computer restarts wen the BSoD occurs then follow this:

4. Clear the Automatically restart check box, and click OK the necessary number of times.

that's my pc if that helps any.

it crashed again and it said something like

driver_irql or something like that

my friend said bad drivers but i cant find any other drivers to put on.Try googling for some keywords that appear in the actual Blue Screen of Death error message:

Try booting to Safe Mode and use your PC for a while to see if the BSOD occurs then. If it doesn't, you may need to upgrade the drivers for some hardware component.

In the future, you can set up a dual-boot system with both XP and Vista.Okay now we have the specs.

that's what i get that blue screen at the the problem driver_irql_equal blah blah blahThe stop code is listed on the first line in that BSoD sample screen.

As you can see there's also a file called wxyz.sys listed. If the BSoD you're getting mentions any file we need to know the name of it.at the bottom it says

nvt.sys i think it may have been nvyt or something im not 100% sure.If you're not sure then write the info down next time you get a BSoD or take a PICTURE of it. A BSoD can happen for any number of reasons so without an error message we can't tell you what's causing it.i know im trying but it pops up and dissapears so fast i BARELY have a second to see.Quote from: Deerpark on October 22, 2007, 11:14:07 AM
