Answer» I am trying to run an APPLICATION but I get the following ERROR message :
CAN'T RUN 16-BIT WINDOWS PROGRAM
INSUFFICIENT MEMORY TO RUN THIS APPLICATION.
QUIT ONE OR MORE WINDOWS APPLICATIONS AND THEN TRY AGAIN
I have tried to find a reply to this problem but I did not manage to find one.Is it only this one app with which you are having problems? Is your system displaying any other issues?Everything else is working OK. I tried to use the COMPATIBILITY button under Properties but without success. The application is supposed to work in Windows XP.
ThanksDo all 16 bit apps give you that error? Are you running 64 bit XP?With the compatibility box checked, try right-clicking on the app's icon and then "run as administrator". It may or may not work, but it can't hurt.As JJ3000 said, if your running a 64bit OS your'll never get a 16bit application to run (they won't work together).
The file might be corrupted and memory leaking if your using WinXP 32bit, you might NEED to download another one or re-install.Thanks all for your help and advice which I will try to IMPLEMENT. I have Windows XP32 bit. What exactly is this program?
