Solve : Windows XP 'explorer.exe'?

I have an send and shut down message which reads; (I get this mesage only upon startup)

AppName: explorer.exe Appver 6.0.2900.5512 ModName Ws2_32.dll

Mod Ver: 2600.5512 Offset: 00006a55'

Can anyone help with any INFORMATION about CORRECTING this problem? Running Windows XP with all SP's installed.

lostcoast although the info on whether a SERVICE is valid or not is good to know it doesn't assist with the problem.
