What do you mean?well what is i have a product key of windows xp home edition then will that be legal torrenting? To create an ISO of a Windows disk and share it via Bit Torrent is illegal. So is downloading it and burning it. Anyhow, Windows disks you get from torrents, besides being illegal, MAY well contain trojans or other malicious code.that stinks! Quote from: geeklygo on August 08, 2012, 01:48:54 PM that stinks! If you wrote books or took photographs or created software for a living, I bet you wouldn't like it if people stole them. You may be able to order a recovery disk from HP/Compaq (They are the same company). Here is the web page http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=94088&docname=bph07143 Quote from: Salmon Trout on August 08, 2012, 01:51:03 PM If you wrote books or took photographs or created software for a living, I bet you wouldn't like it if people stole them. I called them and they said that they don't have the compaq presario 6027US recovery disc anymore. Its not in stockOkay, let's recap. Downloading a Windows .iso is not legal UNLESS Microsoft tells you it's okay and gives you a link from which to do it. If you have a product key you can legally borrow a Windows disc from someone to do what you need to do. i'll GIVE microsoft a call! |
