Answer» 4 machines in this house, all running XP or XP Pro. Two show the desktop icons with text in opaque background and two show the text in a blue background - inverse video How do you change this ? Easy PROBABLY when u know how - but I'll bet it's hidden in some HELP file !!!Change the background color.No offence to anyone - but I must be having a blonde moment. Where do you change the setting ? Right click any empty spot on the desktop and select PROPERTIES...Yes - done all that - get the options for desktop and screensavers etc. Selected the Windows Classic and then you get additional options for things LIKE Icons, icon spacing etc. I am being really dumb here - but cannot find the setting that makes the text under icons appear in inverse video so I get the blue box and reverse text !!
