Solve : windows xp install - keyboard feezes?

Answer»

Hi guys, I,m having real trouble installing XP from a BOOTABLE disc. My old hardrive crashed, so I have replaced it with a spare that I had. I created a partition and have tried to load the OS on to this hard drive and another one that I had but with the same problem each time. When I boot up the installer does its thing at the bottom of the blue screen with the drivers and then enters the windows install page. At this stage the options are; 1 to continue install, 2 to repair, 3 to exit. This is the problem I can't choose any of them as the keyboard will not select either. I'm not sure if its the keyboard or the system. Ctl alt del won't WORK either. I have used a usb keyboard and an ps keyboard that i have. HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!! Where is this XP CD from ? ?
Is it a sharpie version ? ?I got the burned cd from a mate who is in IT in the company he works for . I've also tried to load an xp minimal version that I used previously before but with the same problem.Quote from: unclefester on November 19, 2011, 07:14:46 AM

We can't help you with this. Purchase a legitimate version of Windows and try again.
