My friend has a Hp win XP home edition he was shutting it down with updates and he hit the power BAR and this the computer boots up and promps him wheather to boot in safe mode or normal mode he its normal and the computer began to LOAD and it restarts. I'm not sure I could understand your post even with punctuation -- but let's try, shall we?ok he was shutting it down and it began updates and it was taking too long so he pulled the cord. @ hours later he turned it on It starts up shows the hp symbol and shows the boot system normal screen . He clicks that and the computer boots and then it just restartscould be something WRONG with the power supply unit.no wouldn't it has something to do with corruption of os since he was installing updatesim just adding something that could be wrong, so it uploaded updates and it wont start since, and it asked if it can go into safe mode. hmmmm. When your system boots or restarts again press the F8 or tab key it will take u to the choice screen.
select the last known good config OPTION.
hope it will workI do this and when i hit an option like normaly boot or safe mode it tries to boot but then restarts
I did also what you said it seems to rebout anyway.are you sure the only thing that you downloaded was updates?? because your friend might have a virus. just keep trying while i figure it outtry this website. and if that doesn't work you gonna have to reinstall the OS
