Solve : Windows XP Password lost?

Answer»

Hi there,

I am having a huge problem. I let a person go for stealing who worked for me and I cannot get into their computer Administrators password.

the computer has two accounts:

One is the ADMINISTRATOR and I don't know the password and the second is a standard user with no authority and no passowrd. I have used the computer through the user and tried a few things through the net to gain access to the admin side but in most cases it won't let me run a program as I dont have authority it states.

I tried a site where it asked me to make a flobby disk which i did but when i ran it on the site it stated there was no password to find. I am not sure what to do.

Anyone out there be able to help?

Please help with suggestionsWho set this computer up and why do you, as a boss, allow users to set their own passwords without you KNOWING them?
There are ways around this but you'll need to convince me that you're genuine.Well thanks for the reply but not sure what you are asking. i have a small office of four computers. i am not a computer expert and i had a company come in and set up the next work years ago. We are running XP on each machine and each user has their own password. Maybe I should have given them to them but I am thinking they could have STILL changed them so not sure how that would have helped.

Further more I ran a program during BOOTUP and it stated that the password was probably locked. It said it unlocked it and changed the password to blank but when i reboot it is still locked.

So not sure what to do.
