Answer» After entering my password in my user account i got a wierd window that said my hard disk was too full to open with my personal definitions. I clicked ok and my desktop was totaly different. I emptied a bunch of junk off my hardrive and restarted but haven't been able to get back to my regular user account, which has my email, all my INTERNET favorites and access to a server I have. Please help me! Is there any WAY to reset just the personal user definitions in Windows XP?
Thank you! What are you using for virus and spyware protection?AVG... have any ideas? How much free space is on that HDD ? ?
GX is right ALSO this can be caused by malware as well...is that all the protection you currently have ? ?
It could be so much better.I have two HDDs and the C was maxed out. I dumped most everything off of them hoping my user profile WOULD come back...no luck.
I had AVG, SecretMaker, MV RegCleaner, CCleaner...
The user account that opens up now is strange. No modifications I do are saved. I made a new account and that functions fine. I'm looking for a way to revert my account back to how I had it.
Any leads you might have would be great... even any system cleaners that have been effective for you...
Thanks!! Try these:
Adaware http://www.download.com/3000-2144-10045910.html
Spywareblaster http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html
Install / update / boot into SAFE Mode (F8 when you boot) and run Adaware & AVG again. Post back.
