Solve : Windows XP Pro. System service is not running.? |
|
Answer» Hello, Im having problems with Windows XP PRO. It appears that its running on a diffrent mode, the taskbar looks diffrent, start button is smaller and diffrent colour. When i try to open the Diagnostics PAGE i get a Program error " Exception In Test Mode" cpqdiag.exe Abnormal Program termination. I also noticed i cant open Windows Help and Support page i also get an Error message " Windows cannot open Help and Support because a system service is not running. Ive boot the computer on Last known Good Configuration, Safe mode and started windows NORMALLY nothing WORKED. When the computer was working ok i went to Run and typed in, msconfig.exe and changed the Normal start up to DIAGNOSTIC start up i was checking something i cant remember what it was, but after that i booted the computer back to normal on Normal start up. Also i was using the Diagnostics page searching for errors ( that was before the problem started ) So i think i done some wrong there. Ive been trying to solve this problem since yesterday morning, any kind of advise or help will be great. Hey guys ive fixed the problem. All my Windows SERVICES WAS DISABLED some how. i went to Start, Run, then typed services.msc then changed the services to Automatic or Manual by looking at my other computers settings, rebooted the computer everything back to normal. |
