Solve : Windows XP SP1?

Answer»

I am attempting to set up a wireless network for a friend and having a problem installing the network card (Belkin) which works perfectly in my system. His version of XP has not had SP1 INSTALLED. Anybody know if this could be the problem? Do you need SP1 to drive an 802.11g network card?DLoad and install SP2 immediately...it is a major OS upgrade and you probably will find that things will behave better...You need to have SP2 installed for a LOT of reasons. This is just one.And without SP2 you no longer have support from the Mothership...your friend is just asking to be attacked
