hy guys
my FRIEND setted me a startup password on windows XP poffessional SP2, it comes before the login screen and says: Your PC is locked, (or something), and the captoin is : MICROSOFT Windows XP Startup password...
can anyone help me out getting it out without reinstalling the windows?

Did your Friend Set up the Administrator Account?
If he did then you have a problem,
Else , if you logon as administrator you can change the passwords of any user's by going in to user accounts in control Paneli cant do anything..... i have a administration pass..... but cant even log... i come and only thing i can do is or put the password, than log with my user and pass, or press restart button.... first time i see such *censored* thing in Winodws.... but i need help urgently... anyone?What Happens when you Put in your User name and Password , do you get logged in?

If you have the admin password you can change any setting you want.

Maybe he installed some security/lock application that works out of the registry.

no no..... it's not a registry corruption... i think it's a built-in tool for windows.... still i need help... and i wont reinstall window...

i dunno if this wud be any help but it happened to me. i only have 1 account. called "Troy". but when i started my computer up insafe mode, there was a seperate "admin","guest" and "troy" acount i could log into.that is not the same case... MINE cant get into the login screen were are the users...  anyone know someone who can help bypassing the DriveCrypt plus software?
