Answer» trying to APPLY changed settings in config.sys but when I hit SAVE option it comes up "general error while accessing file a:\config sys" I also tried using help option and it wouldn't work, a error message saying "make sure that helpfile Edit.HLP is in same director and hasn't been modified. " please can someone help me out Do you have the original system disc that came with the system? If so I would preform a repair installation if you want to keep programs and personal data intact, otherwise a clean install from this if you want it clean.I do have it but it wouldn't run because it came up with the STACKS overflow error and when I went to change the stacks, it came up as written above. :/ You MAY wanna post your original config.sys and your revised one so we can take a look.. Also CURIOUS...what CHANGES are you tryin to make ? ?
