Solve : Windows XP will not start up? |

Answer» After shutting down Compaq laptop and attempting to restart this morning I received a black screen / safe mode options apologizing for the inconvenience and saying windows did not start successfully blaming a hardware/software change. Have you tried performing a repair, by using the XP CD?No I have not. Do you suggest this? When I select a option it goes to a blue screen with breif instructions and then returns to safe mode.hmm you could try typing into google what the blue screen says and finding out what causes the blue screen to show up. maybe it might provide insight into what the problem istry to boot into SAFE MODE WITH COMMAND PROMPT. then run the following command: CHKDSK C: /F if it find errors and fixes them, then that could solve your problem! |
