Solve : WinXP And Win2000 Networking Problem?

I own two computers running WINDOWS 2000 Pro and one laptop running Windows XP Home.  I BOUGHT a mototola 802.11g ROUTER and the required PCI cards.  I HOOKED both the computers up to a network and they work fine.  The laptop running XP is not working on the network for some REASON.  The laptop has a built in 802.11g network card.  Anyone know how to fix this problem?
