Answer» Compaq Presario SR1603WM WindowXP, when I turn the COMPUTER on,the Monitor has a black screen and SYSTEM just beeps 4-seconds apart till I turn it off. there are no beep codes, just a steady 4-second beep. Looks like it just CRASHED. PC TURNS on, all fans are running and the monitor is black .What KIND of video does this have? If the video isn't on your motherboard the video card may need to be reseated or it could be dead. Do you have another video card you could swap? See Here Another thing you may try is to borrow a known working PSU of the same wattage or greater and swap it in there to see if that's the culprit...
