Solve : wkufind.exe ??? at start up every time???

Answer»

Every time since the last update I turn on my computer I get this " Do you want to allow the following program from an unknown publisher to make changes etc" This program (wkufind.exe) keeps popping up on start up, I press yes when it pops up during start up to get rid of it but it becomes annouying when it pops up during startup EVERYTIME . I am running win 7 ultimate, I think this is for microsoft word update not sure. how do I stop this? The file is from a MS app called Picture It!...if you do not use this software you can get rid of it using Add/Remove programs...
If you do use it you can turn off auto-updates by opening the app and selecting Tools/Options from the programs menu bar.I looked in the uninstall file I do not see it nor anywhere in my programs, I did a search for picture it but no file shows up    ??Is it listed under Windows components ? ?No listing in search  And nothing at all in Start/All Programs ? ?

Someone else may have attempted to install it at one time or another.I dont get it why would it ask me  on start up to install every startup is it malware? If you navigate to your Startup folder in Explorer it can safely be deleted if you do not have or want Picture It...

Another easier and safer option is to DLoad and install StartupCPL from Mike Lin.
This is a great TINY app that allows you to control what runs on startup on your PC.
After installing it will place an icon in Control PANEL called Startup.
Clik it to launch the app whenever you need it...find the file name and UNCHECK the box next to it...this will
stop this aggraviting little popup each time you start...
Note : There will be 4 or 5 Tabs on the TOP of the CPL window...you may have to check each 1 by 1...
NOTE # 2 Never uncheck any item if you do not know what it does.

Best of Luck and let us know...Thanks patio that did the job I want to thank all who replied   i am new here , i had the same problem with wknfun.exe pop ups at start up ...i have windows 8.1 ....in case anyone wants to know if you do not already ...... c drive /   programs files (x86)/   common files   /    microsoft shared /   work shared....then delete wknfun.exe    problem is over
