I am running Windows WP and Word 2002 on a Dell desktop.  Word has stopped responding, and it requires me to execute a system RESTORE each TIME to access it.  Word remains functional until I exit the program, but once closed, it will not respond again until I execute another system restore.  I have reinstlled Word, but it MAKES not DIFFERENCE.  How can I correct this problem?  I would start by uninstalling, rebooting and then reinstalling the program.  You didn't say if a restart was involved. How is your malware and virus protection? Have you had any other problems with the machine?What happened prior to this?Well, it looks LIKE I posted my reply in the wrong place.  Thank you for the advice.  I did uninstall the program and rebooted before reinstallation.  So far it is holding.  I will know better by tomorrow when I reboot for the day.  I'm glad it is working now.
