Solve : Wordpad Confusion/Which option to Use??

Answer» When I want to save something,I get 4 options,and I'm not sure whats the best one to use...and why??
Here are my options(asa u probably knowA) ;-}
1.)RICH Text
2)Office OPEN xml document
3)Open Document Text
4.)Plain Text Document Text
5.)Other Formats
What is the diference in all these ways to save something
Running Windows 7...bought recently so still learning things..
I prolly should already know this...buty I'm at a loss.

Depends on what you're going to do with the docs. If they are just for you, plain text is fine. If you need text formatting options, Rich Text is good. For a full explanation of each format, GOOGLEI DID try to Google it,and all I get is some Arab looking writing.Its HOW I ask the question that confuses me.Thats why I came here.Isn't this what this SITE is for?OKAY---->Straight to the point.
If I am copying a poem or speech,essay,or whatever...wgich one of those 4 is the best to save it to?I really don't care why...I just want to know which is the best to save it on.Because on Windows 7,it always gives me those 4 choices and I just basically just pick any one of them,not knowing if it's right or wrong.Or "IF" there IS a right or wrong.
There is no right or wrong answer. That's why you get the choices, basically. So you can decide the option that is best for you.

I have googled these and still dont know which is the best 2 use,and why......thats why I came here for help....to break it down into something I can understand.
Until then.....I guess I'll just keep googling. which one is selected by default?
