Answer» I have WindowsXP, and whenever have some WORK on Wordpad and save it in my documents, I can never access it. The only thing I can do is print it, or email it before I exit Wordpad. I notice that a dialog box or a cooky always appears and directs me to install one of the Office2003 PROGRAMS during my access attempts. Is it true that Wordpad cannot be fully exploited without one of these programs, or is there perhaps something wrong with my system? What am I overlooking? :-?
ThanksWordpad is a more or less standalone application and has no dependencies on any Office suite programs. Have you tried "Save As"?Can you locate files you've created with Wordpad, using Windows Explorer? Are you saving your Wordpad files in the RTF (Rich Text Format) or Text format?
Backdated, I have no PROBLEM saving Wordpad to several places. I just cannot those particular files.
soybean: Yes, I can locate my Wordpad files, but my attempts to open them are always blocked. They are being saved in RTFRight click a file, choose open with>other, select wordpad from the bottom of the list & tick the save box then ok.I misread you ENTIRELY. Sorry about that. Go with Feds solution, but if it's Win9x you're using, select a .rtf file, hold down the shift KEY and then right click. "Open With" will now appear in the context menu. Thanks much guys, It works works perfectly.
