Solve : xcopy general format with syntax?

Sir,I have been trying several days to copy "My Documents" directory including its subdirectories and files, with the format c:\documents and settings\spd\my documents\my videos\> xcopy c:\my videos\*.* d:\my videos /s /e/c/i/y .
But it cannot copy my desired files. With some parameter change,sometimes it is COPYING all lots of whole DESKTOP items and all USER documents, undesired !!!
Kindly help me. With regards, spdCHF.your copying them into the same folder as your copying from- why?Try changing Quote

c:\documents and settings\spd\my documents\my videos\> xcopy c:\my videos\*.* d:\my videos /s /e/c/i/y <enter>
