What programs? Names, version numbers?

hi

Sorry, the programs are educational progrmas, where written for 95,98,2000, some for XP sp1,  some run ok on XP Sp2 or the sound WILLNOT come for which i have downloaded a patch and that solved that problem.

the problem is since reinstalling XP Sp2 some how it hasn't loaded the 16 bits, the program will install but not run it gives the 16 bits time out etc, LIKE I posted earlier.

I've given te program to others to try and it works on thier machines running XP Sp2 no problems.

I run a vertual drive so I don't have to keep USING the disk.

if you need names of programs I can SUPPLY. you may not have heard of them anyway.

thanks anyway
Continue to fill in the blanks as suggested. Dias wouldn't have asked if it wasn't neccessary....
Also provide details on how you are launching the programs....from a shortcut on the desktop or from the Start /Run menu or from All Programs.... Quote from: pohhop on August 04, 2008, 12:25:36 PM

What are the "exact" message(s) you get?Hi

THose are the exact messages I get.
16 BIT TIME OUT & WIN 16 BIT SUBSYSTEM MAYBE UNSTABLE.

the program can load but will not run, when you tryrunning these messages apear together.

It put the progam into the program file in the start menu. no shortcuts.

these programs wherewriten for 95, 98, 2000, XP Sp1, I had to down load a patch for the sound to work running SP2,it worked OK, since reinstalling windows SP2 it doesnot work,i get these messages.
It like the 16 bit hasn't loaded on the 32bit.

Regards
P
