Answer» I recently purchased a sony vaio at a garage sale..didn't take LONG for my teenagers to crash it..I do not have the original disk's that came with the computer...what would happen if I used a restore disk from a diffrent computer and then just installed the correct drivers from the sony website?We won't know until you try it and tell us. I would not be at all surprised if a different manufacturer's restore disk would boot, check the BIOS and then IMMEDIATELY stop with a message like "Wrong machine ID", but maybe not. |
