Solve : xp black?

Answer»

has anyone heard of windows xp black? Yes...
Are you looking to get infected ? ?Maybe he MEANS a black XP theme? I have one myself called Black Mint, it is from StyleXP. I really hate that default Luna theme with the blue taskbar and window decorations; it looks like something Mattel designed for 4 year olds.

I think he means that one.

Is that full of virusses???

Don't know, but it is almost CERTAINLY illegal, and as this site does not encourage piracy or linking to cracked versions of copyright software, you might consider removing that link that you posted...

Yes, I should have, I didn't think that one through.
I just posted it to show what I thought he meant with XP black.
Never thought about the illegal aspect of it, stupid me!
To actually answer the question...

Windows XP Black Edition is a pirated and doctored copy of Windows XP that comes with a bundle of more pirated software. There are claims that it runs a lot better than a stock Windows XP installation (by stock I mean an installation from an authentic XP disc), but from my experience and research, I have found these claims to just be rumors. I actually had a chance to look at it while working on a computer that came through my shop last month (part of that work included removing XP Black and installing an authentic VERSION). While I don't know if the computer was infected because of XP Black or as a result of something else, I suggest steering clear of it.

Regardless of its performance, as was mentioned already in this thread, the Windows XP Black Edition is an illegal copy of Windows. I strongly suggest you do not download it, as with any pirated software. The TEMPTATION of something expensive for free OFTEN gets you more than you bargained for. The majority of people who bring me hopelessly infected computers usually got those infections from downloading pirated or "free" things.thanks guys i'll keep that in mind
