Answer» I have a laptop with no CD-ROM drive but I do have a floppy drive. OS: XP Professional. Laptop boots no problem - reaches the Windows XP loading SCREEN, with the BAR and moving blue thing, and then stops.
I have tried using all the OPTIONS under F8. When I choose the option which allows you to see which files are being loaded it stops every time at agp440.sys
I used boot disks, but these don't give me access to C:\ !!!
Two questions that I would greatly appreciate an answer to: (1) Can I create a boot disk that will give me access to C:\ ?? (2) Can I overwrite the corrupt agp440.sys file with one on a floppy boot disk.
Any help would be most welcome. Cheers Xerxes You will NEED a BOOTABLE CDROM sooner or later. In this case, perhaps sooner?
