Answer» All of a sudden I can't get online on one of my desktop machines. MB is a PCChips M863
Something has changed in the XP OS. Packets are being received but not sent out. I installed XP on another drive and then everything works fine but I don't want to lose my desktop icons etc.
Is there anyway to repair the XP install or what is the best solution ?

When I try to open Firefox or Opera, I get "Can't find the server at ...........
In control panel (network CONNECTIONS) the conection is "Connected" Duration is correct, Speed is 100 Mbps,. Activity SHOWS 35 packets sent and 0 received.
In properties, ALL items are checked.
There is an unusual Window on Start-up.
