Answer» If I needed to format my hard drive and I right click format on the C:// drive WOULD i need the disk to be able to re install the OS or does the format not format everything?Formatting a drive or volume REMOVES everything. And that means you will be needing your disk to be able to re-install your OS.. Unless you have done some cloning to your disk..You cannot format your OS drive from within Windows... What EXACTLY are you TRYING to accomplish here ? ?
