Answer» When I put the MOUSE over an icon a TEXT box pops up. I don't know what to call it so I can't search for help. What do I call that or how do I GET rid of them in xpWhy do you want to get rid of them? They're called "tooltips", by the WAY. GOOGLE for TweakUI for XP if you want to change this and other settings. But be warned that you can inadvertently make Windows unrecogniseable, if you don't know what you're doing.
