Hi I have a gateway w340ui it has crashed and I wanted a boot RECOVERY disc the PC did not come with anything. THOUGH i'd find a nice ap and burn it to a CD and I'd be good.
Not, I keep hearing floppy disc.... like I have one, the recovery disc, not a prob you just put in your OS disc first....

Is there not a place to get and burn a recovery disc that will fix this thing. that requires nothing else from me?

Thank youFirst, you can purchase an XP CD for any and all repair or reinstallation needs.

Second, why don't you tell us what the problem is and perhaps we can help.You might be able to boot to a Linux live CD, but that will only allow you read/write access to your DRIVE and that might not be enough to fix your problem.
