Answer» hello.. is ti POSSIBLE to put windows xp pro in a usb and use it in installing a computer.. and if its possible how i can i do that.. any help is appreciated.. Thanks in advance...There are a few ways to do this...it will INVOLVE some work though. We need to know if you are doing a clean install or a repair install... We need to know if your machine SUPPORTS booting to a USB device... And we need to know what VERSION and what it says on the CD...
Do you not have a working CD ? ?I'm planing for a clean installation and its supports usb as a booting option. I like to install windows xp pro sp 2 to the computer. If your referring to xp installation cd yes i do have one working xp pro cd..Is the CD drive bad on the system? Wondering why not normal installation via CD?the cd drive is working properly.. I just want to know if its possible to install an xp to a computer using usb/thumb drive.. And how can i do that.?Here First
You will then have to copy the contents of your XP CD to the drive.
