What's the difference between Pro and Home for XP?There is a big difference and there is the price to consider.

As for the price, I might be able to get for free/cheap Pro off a FRIEND who doesn't use it. It was just that I didn't want to get Pro and miss out on the Home stuff... but it seems my worries were in vain.You most likely will never notice you are using Professional. So you too noticed that it doesn't say Professional anymore.

I guess that the real Professionals are using "something else".I have ALWAYS used Home Edition, but I have seen it happen on another computer. Why would Microsoft replace the Professional screen? They even changed the colour of the loading bar to Blue, which was originally Pro's colour.Windows XP Comparison Guide
