Answer» I installed XP SP2 on a spare hard drive I had and now my wireless and USB ports don't work. I tried putting SP2 on a seperate disc and installing it and I have checked the drivers. I'm running on a HP DV1000 series notebook and have a Samsung PATA 80GB hard drive with 2 GB of RAM. When I installed XP on my old hard drive (which is a seperate post in itself) it worked FINE but I have loads of PROBLEMS now. Any help? ThanksAnd I forgot to add that when shutting down, Stand By is no longer an OPTION...Re-INSTALL the MBoard drivers on the driver CD that shipped with the machine. If this brings no joy-joy you MAY be looking at a Repair/clean install of XP. Let us know.thanks...I'll give it a shot
