Answer» hello and thank you to anyone who can help me with this i am RUNNING Windows XP professional 64-bit i have messed with the Regedit so that i can get that web tab back in the customize desktop so i can put in a what ever and have it as my background/wall paper. but when i want to put a SWF such as http://us.media.blizzard.com/1901200114/_flash/frontpage.swf i save it as a swf and what not not i get it all good but when i click apply all i get is a white box that just sits there. i have EVERYTHING updated on my comp so no worries on that
thank you if you can help best regardsWhich 64bit version are you running ? ? From what i've SEEN the 64bit versions do not need a regedit to enable this feature.... Did you backup the registry before applying the changes ?well its in my SUbject for the post its XP pro 64 bit and no the web tab was not there i had to edit the regedit and no i did not back them upAre you aware their are different versions of Vista 64bit ? ?are you aware that i am not running vistaI wasn't until just now...sorry.its ok man....but do you have any idea why its just a white square in my screen when i click applythe WEB page ALLOWS you to place WEB pages as backgrounds. Shockwave flash files are not web pages. make an HTML page with it embedded.
Another problem might be the lack of a 64-bit Adobe flash control.tried that all i get is a bunch of jibber jabberthe desktop is 64-bit. you want an SWF background. there is NO 64-bit control for displaying SWFs. THIS is why you get a "white box".gotcha and i was kinda THINKING that...something was wrong with the flash player but thank you anyway
thank you for your time
