Solve : Xp reinstall problems!!? |
|
Answer» I don't know why but for some reason when I try to reinstall windows by setting the cd drive as the 1st boot instead of floppy, where it gets to the point where it SAYS windows install will start after RESTART. But when it restarts nothing happens no install no nothing... I've gotten to the point where I have tried like 20 times and more, but still same results. HELP!Try cleaning the CD with a soft lint-free cloth... hmm I dont know it!! after it says windows will install after reboot it never happens! It just reboots the computer and no install. If I got to the menu and do it again the same thing will happen! It appears to me that you are not using Full OEM XP Disk, are you using a recovery disk that came with the computer as these do not have a boot up sector on them. You can use any XP but use the key number that's on your computer when you get to that part of the installation. Some Any information about the hardware, age, etc. could be helpful. Its one of those dell cds that came with the computer. Its says window reinstall on it. I wish I could get you some more info but it's my cousins computer which is all the way in CALI. I'll try to get some info off him but he probably doesn't know what HES talking about. |
