Solve : XP repair wants administrative password?!?!?!?!?!?

Answer»

OK, If anyone can guide me on this one my son will be forever grateful. (I just bought) For Christmas he got a new motherboard, processor and graphics CARD.... now XP won't boot up with the new PARTS installed....
... so I'm trying to do a "repair" as you are told "press R for repair" of the EXISTING xp files. Well, then it asks for you to identify which windows on the drive C. No problem. Then it asks for and ADMINISTRATIVE password!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What the...

I've TYPED in everything I can think of, just tells me I'm wrong and to reboot.

Why won't windows run?

When it tries to boot up it states "NTLDR missing"

Whatcha think? Are you sure that an administrative password has been set?  Just try pressing enter without typing anything. Is this XP Home? There's a work around on it to bypass administrator password. Quote
