when i used service pack1 my cd rom master icon dissapear, but my hardisk slave is not... but when i used service pack 2 my hard disk slave icon dissapear, but my cd rom master is not... any suggestions to my problem?

Are you saying you have your CDROM set as master with your hard drive set as slave ? ?No wonder there are issues.
The HDD and CDRom should be on seperate IDE channels if at all possible.nope, i got 2 cd rom master & slave... & 2 hard disk master & slave also...
