Answer» I am trying to install windows xp sp2 pro on my new computer and during the part where it is copying the files from the cd to my hardrive, my computer randomly reboots or locks up, does anyone have any solution to this problem?Did you build this computer yourself? If so doublecheck everything is securely PLACED. Is this a new or old harddrive? Have you tried formatting it during setup?i built this computer myself, and it seems to boot fine and everything seems to be working, and i am indeed formatting it when I install windows, but it seems to always LOCK up or REBOOT when it is copying the files? I am POSITIVE all the wires are CONNECTED properly. and it is an old hardrive i used from a previouis computer I had.Has this computer ever worked properly, or was it just assembled? Details could be helpful. See below. |
