Solve : XP thinks it is NT 4? |

Answer» I am trying to FIX my mom's computer. It is a OptiPlex 755. It is running XP Pro w/service pack 3 64bit. However, I cannot download updates or Malicious Software Tool or Fix It because the computer says it is running NT 4. I cannot restore before service pack 3, and I cannot uninstall SP 3. I do not any an XP disk. Can anyone gives me some suggestions which do not require CD? thank you the computer says it is running NT 4. How EXACTLY does it 'say' this? And when, and what are you doing to 'fix' it? Why does it NEED fixing? It's COMMON for XP to be reported as NT4...however you didnt say where that's reported... As Salmon ASKED...what are you tryin to fix ? ? |
