Solve : XP update on new Hard drive? |

Answer» I got a COMPUTER built at Cyberpowerpc, but the hard drive is blank. I have a Windows XP update disk. Will I be able to install XP to the hard drive with at disk? Is there any thing special I need to do? What is written on the disk? I presume it is an official pressed disk? It SAYS "DVD Upgrade, version 2002, also says this program will search your system to confirm your eligibility for this upgrage edition". And " do not make illegal copies of this disc"An upgrade disk cannot be used to install XP onto a blank hard drive. The installer looks for a qualifying product and if it does not find one, HALTS with an error message.
