Solve : SSL connection does not work on Windows XP?

Answer»

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314864It WORKS on my XP PC.I have gotten SSL error several times a day for the past week. I have talked the local pohoine company and the ISP and they claim to have fixed my DLS issues. But I keep getting SSL errors and the modem does a hard reset.
I am waiting for MS to send me the PATCH. I have not been able to get it yet, because the SSL error stops my mail client from working. The kb ARTICLE only applies when the server is a self-signed certificate, and you are using Internet Explorer.

Do these "SSL Errors" have text? maybe descriptions? Error Codes? Also check your system clock - If it has for some reason jumped far into the future on back into the past you will find the machine treating SSL certificates as though they have expired. This is especially true at the moment with the Heartbleed issue as servers are having their SSL keys replaced to ones that would have only first become valid within this week. The issue here Geek is you are having issues with SSL errors...then you post something saying SSL doesn't WORK in XP...
Because you have issues does not mean all XP PC's have issues.Thank you for your replies.
I am now using Chrome instead of Firefox and have yet to see the error again.
I will post back if I get a screen shot of the error.
What makes it hard to understand is that I get a modem reset along with the SSL error. Hard to KNOW if they are related.
