Solve : System won't start up?? |
| Answer» <html><body><p>After running the clean-up systems program and deleting internet file to free up space, the system cannot restart anymore? <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/would-3285927" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about WOULD">WOULD</a> anyone know why? I have tried to start in safe mode and go to an <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/earlier-963550" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about EARLIER">EARLIER</a> date but this doesn't work either. Hello!<br/>What kind of clean up program did you use. <br/>Also, we need more info. >> Read this<br/><br/>I am kid of at a disadvantage as it's my sisters system and I cannot get into the system to find out all the information <br/>needed that your requesting and she doesn't know where the paperwork is. <br/>I know it was just recently purchase about one year ago, Windows Vista. I am not that familiar with PC's as I use a Mac, <br/>but I was trying to see if we could find out why this is happening. She just went to some kind of system program<br/>that allows you to clean up and free up disk space, and once it told her she could free up 1.3 gb of space, she selected<br/>it and when the system went to restart is wouldn't. <br/>The following error message is on the screen right now:<br/>"A <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/problem-25530" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about PROBLEM">PROBLEM</a> HAS BEEN DETECTED AND WINDOWS HAS BEEN SHUT DOWN TO PREVENT DAMAGES TO YOUR SYSTEM"<br/>"IF THIS IS THE FIRST TIME YOU'VE SEEN THIS ERROR (WHICH IT WAS) RESTART YOUR COMPUTER, (WHICH SHE DID). IF THIS SCREEN APPEARS AGAIN, FOLLOW THESE STEPS;"<br/>"CHECK TO MAKE SURE ANY NEW HARDWARE OR SOFTWARE IS PROPERLY INSTALLED. (NO NEW HARDWARE OR SOFTWARE WAS INSTALLED) IF THIS IS A NEW INSTALLATION ASK YOUR HARDWARE OR SOFTWARE MANUFACTURE <br/>FOR ANY WINDOWS UPDATES YOU MIGHT NEED. (DOES NOT APPLY)<br/>IF PROBLEM CONTINUES DISABLE OR REMOVE ANY NEWLY INSTALLED HARDWARE OR SOFTWARE, (NO NEW ANYTHING) DISABLE BIOS MEMORY OPTIONS SUCH AS CACHCHE OR SHADOWING IF YOU NEED TO ISE SAFE MODE TO REMOVE OR DISABLE COMPONENTS, RESTART YOUR COMPUTER AND PRESS F8 TO SELECT ADVANCE STARTUP OPTION, AND THEN SELECT SAFE MODE"<br/><br/>We cannot do any of the above as the only way to restart the system is to unplug it and plug back in. It keeps going back to this same message and safemode will not start?<br/>So, we are at a loss?<br/>I think you used the Disk Cleanup program and you've experienced what they call BSOD (or Blue Screen of Death)<br/>Have you done anything before this, <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/asidebrbr-2445230" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about ASIDE">ASIDE</a> from Diskcleanup?<br/>Have you installed anything, hardware/software?<br/><br/>Dont worry, there are many cool guys out here that can assist you with your problems. <br/><br/>Just keep us posted. No new software was installed? So what should she do now as she lives in a tiny little town in the middle of nowhere...ha, Susanville, Ca. Oh and the warranty just expired 5 days ago too. She was calling Acer for help but missed the deadline.<br/>ThanksShe said the computer didn't come with any disks? It looks like her only option is to call her computer maker, and request Recovery DVDs. In most cases, they should send them to her free of charge.Okay. so after she receives these recovery disk and with the system in its current state, how does she install the restore? Will the system see the disk when she puts them in the drive? Those are bootable disks. If it won't boot from DVD, you have to check boot order in BIOS.I'm not that familiar with PC's, so excuse me for asking, but in case it doesn't boot, how do I "check boot order in BIOS"?You may want to let her know also that after she runs those Recovery CD's it will revert the system back to Day One status and all her data and any programs she has installed will be gone...<br/>If she has stuff she needs from there Post back and we'll instruct further....
