Solve : Trouble with Sleep Mode?

Answer» <html><body><p>I have an HP Pavillion (<a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/desktop-949558" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about DESKTOP">DESKTOP</a>) computer running Windows Vista, 1 GB RAM, Not <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/sure-656539" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about SURE">SURE</a> what the processor is.  I have been trying to <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/use-241643" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about USE">USE</a> the sleep mode instead of shutting down the computer, but it will only sleep for a few <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/seconds-239463" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about SECONDS">SECONDS</a> and then returns to full operating power.  I can't seem to find anything in Help to deal with this.  I have tried fiddling around in Control Panel but I don't know my way around Vista well enough yet.<br/><br/>Can anyone help me figure this out?<br/><br/>Thanks<br/><br/>BruceIs this a new machine? Did the problem just start?  Have you installed a new program?I just shut off the option that allows network connections to wake up the computer and that did the trick.<br/><br/>Thanks<br/><br/>BruceGood Job BTW...you want to get 1 more GB of RAM for Vista.</p></body></html>
