Solve : Vista is not recognizing path variables?

Answer» <html><body><p>I am running Vista Ultimate. I am having a problem where vista is not recognizing directories in the path variable.<br/><br/>For example, if I open up a command line (ran as administrator) and <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/type-238192" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about TYPE">TYPE</a> "ipconfig", I get the error - 'ipconfig' is not <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/recognized-2240045" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about RECOGNIZED">RECOGNIZED</a> as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.<br/><br/>But if I change the director to c:\windows\system32&gt; and type ipconfig it will give the correct output.<br/><br/>Now I know that the path variable should be set to the system32 directory, but when I check the path and the extension, everything seems ok. Here is a <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/screenshot-11718" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about SCREENSHOT">SCREENSHOT</a>: <br/><br/><br/><br/>I don't know what else to do to get the command <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/prompt-592976" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about PROMPT">PROMPT</a> to recognize the system32 diretory commands. Any help appreciated. And all the commands that I am <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/trying-3234509" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about TRYING">TRYING</a> exist in the system32 directory.<br/><br/>looks like your not alone.
